Not Enough Hours?
Back in England, where
as most people know life is not as laid-back as continental countries, and most days simply do not have enough hours to fit everything in, we were blessed with delightful companies such as Tesco or Iceland, all offering to do your shopping for you, at the click of a computer button.
Whilst in England we could lie back with our mug of hot chocolate waiting for the delivery van to arrive, it seems Tunisia has woken up to this method of business also.
Those of you lucky enough to live in Tunis or its surroundings, (Grand Tunis) can now lie back with your iced lemonade (no need for the hot chocolate here!) and allow Magasin General to do this for you.

Click on the following link and it will take you to the Magasin General Boutique webpage where you can browse the list of goods and start ordering straight away. Food is not the only thing featured on their webpage, but furniture, toys and games, and electrical equipment also. Delivery is free!

Hopefully this will spread to the rest of Tunisia also, or maybe this could be a good business idea for an expat out here??!

Fans of Ebay might like to try the following website which is a Tunisian version. After spotting the starting price of a car at 8 Tunisian Dinars, I felt I had to include a link to this website!
For window shopping only at the moment (December 2007), but with recruitment page, e magazine and catalogue and with plans (possibly) for the future of a home delivery service (delivery already in place for electrical goods, but areas covered not mentioned on the website as yet), try the Carrefour website.
