About Me

I am a British woman who moved here to Tunisia in March 2006. I am renting long term - and am very happy with the villa that I am in.

My trips back to the U.K. twice yearly make me realise that I made the right decision, either England has changed a lot or I have, or both!

Living here is lovely, weather, people, scenery, atmosphere I love it all.

My second floor house is shared by the landlady who has ground floor and an English ex husband of mine - he moved here in 2004, so I am not alone. Saying that it would be very nice to meet up with other Brit and have a good chat from time to time.

The British Daily newspaper, The Times, names Mohamed Bouazizi, their person of the year for 2011, being the inspiration of the Arab Spring and for beginning the events that changed the face of the Middle East!

The new Tunisian government would like to change the administration offices' working hours, across Tunisia, changing the weekend from a half day on Friday and Saturday and bringing it into line with Europe, with a Saturday and Sunday weekend!
