Hi .. can anyone please advise me of an apartment (self catering) not too small but simple. Very near to the old town of Hammamet if possible .. for 2 weeks in January .. I am hoping to look around whilst I am there for somewhere to rent long term for retirement as near as possible to the Medina or the Corniche .. many thanks Gillian

The British Daily newspaper, The Times, names Mohamed Bouazizi, their person of the year for 2011, being the inspiration of the Arab Spring and for beginning the events that changed the face of the Middle East!

The new Tunisian government would like to change the administration offices' working hours, across Tunisia, changing the weekend from a half day on Friday and Saturday and bringing it into line with Europe, with a Saturday and Sunday weekend!

Tunisia is on the lookout for a lady in her 40s, who was wearing a brown hijab, who snatched a baby from a hospital in Bab Saadoun

Tunisia has climbed to 92nd place in the World Democracy Index, achieving a jump of 53 places in world ranking in 2011
