Hi can anyone help me please? I am confused about the new English Language test that needs to be taken before my husband can apply for a Spouse Visa. I have looked on the Border Agency website but it doesn't really give much information only that the test needs to be taken and passed before someone can apply for the Visa. Does anyone know anything about where the test can be taken in Tunisia and how long it takes and how much it costs? I look forward to hearing from someone who can help! Thanks.

Hiya, my husband took the test in feb, he needs to take the KET english test, you need to go get a form from the british council in tunis, fill it out and attatch a photo of him, then pay, when we paid it was about 124 tnd. Then it should be done over 2 days, at the british council, there are 3 tests, speaking, listening, and reading and writing. He will get a phone call to tell him dates and times closer to the time. After taking the test he will have to wait 7 weeks for the results which will be available thru the internet so tell him not to lose the paper they give him at the end. He needs a council of europe level 1 or higher to be able to apply for a visa. We have our appointment soon, so getting all the papers together, its alot of work and stress but worth it. i hope this helps, if you need to know anything else let me know, please bare in mind this is what we did in jan/feb so not sure if anything has changed in that time such as fees.
